Living On Margarita Island

Wednesday, March 29, 2006

Today I remembered that I have a few beautiful photos that I haven't even added to my website. So in the fullest sense they are going to be exclusively only shown here.

The photos below were taken on the 18th floor of a condo I was visiting
in Bahia del Morro in Margarita in Feb 2006. It was an incredible penthouse and the view was gorgeous !

See it for yourself !

Here's another photo as I looked to my right out the window.

This one was taken to my left...

This last one was taken from a high porch from a home close to the Playa El Agua area
called La Mira. The beach in the background is El Tirano.

Cruise Ship Port El Guamache

A few Sunday's ago I was finally able to go to El Guamache. I have an American friend that works there. She mentioned to me a while back about the idea of going in and taking pictures, kinda like writting a review about our Port. I must say it was an excellent idea! I really enjoyed my time out there, I met allot of vendors and a few tourists.

I think what made the biggest impression on me was the quality of the merchandise and the prices. They were not what I would expect them to be. Curious to know how much ?? Very, very afordable and not in the least bit expensive. Prices in the $1's, 5$'s, $10's, $20's and a little more. Gorgeous jewlery, precious stones, hand painted pottery, hand carved stone and more. In all reality nothing was over priced and it was wonderful to find out more about 'the people' who take the time to create and sell their works of art.

Please take the time to read about the review I have on this link.

Margarita Island in all its beauty!

I've just add over 200 photos to a wonderful presentation for you to enjoy on my site. Roy Michiels sent me an email about Margarita and how since he's been here on the island, taken so many photos and how he loves this island as much as I do.

He's still living here and wants to do what he can to show others just how beautiful Margarita is. It did take some time but it finally got done. I hope you all enjoy the slide show as much as I enjoyed making it!
