Rain, Rain and more Rain

This week alone is the most rain the we have had so far into Margarita's wet season. Its really hasn't been that bad but I know that some are here on vacation now and then really hate the weather. It's not like this all the time mind you....just usually in the end of December and Jan. If I remember right it can last into Feb. beginning of March. Even though the nite's are cooler and it is a little more wet than usual, you kinda appreciate it especially after last year 2005, we had a dought for 6 months straight with no rain at all. The grass is greener and my yard has never been this full of grass ever.

I added this part to my site about the weather and hope to add to it and I'll keep it up-to-date. I know it'll help to be able to better plan your vacations or trips when you're headed this way to the island for a little R & R!

Feb. carnival time is coming soon towards the third week of this month. So if you're headed to Margarita you can expect allot more people here visiting and a little more going on than usual. Also in March is Saints Week here called Semana Santa March 19-26.

A few more photos of Margarita ! Enjoy !

Island Beauty and more about Macanao

I've come to realize that even though I live on this beautiful Island of Margarita that I have yet to really explore all it's beauty. I have been to a few places but I'm sure with a mode of transportation it would be MUCH easier. (:^)
There are caves and hidden secluded area's just waiting to be discovered. So far I have been to Playa El Agua, El Yaque and Macanao. This area around Macanao is very mountainous but yet has it own beauty. Not many Venezuelan's live through this area because it's so far out and away from it all. Lack of water and it can be desert like in some area's even.

I did once a few years back take my husband for a surprise birthday picnic. It was very sweet and romantic. Something that you just can't do anywhere. We also enjoyed swimming in the water and had the stretch of beach all to ourselves.

Macano has been great for lots of Tour company's and Jeeps to drive through. On many occasions have I seen Tour Jeeps heading up to Macanao for a scenic drive with lots of blonde haired tourists sitting in the backs of these Jeeps ..LOL.(Really ;^)

One of the many great things you can do when you come to visit the Island!

This one photo below shows a small area where a Venezuelan family lives but also notice that the main road is still viewable in this photo too. As you drive through Macanao you'll see many turn off roads to your right such as this one. This family is close to the road, so this part would not be so secluded if you were wanting to enjoy a more private part of the beach.

Go Hotel hopping on Margarita Island!!

Here is an article that was published here in Margarita Island's newpaper, Sol De Margarita. I translated it from spanish for you to read here.

All Inclusive plans for a Full Day at many Hotels & Resorts!

Not only for a place to stay the night, the more modern hotels have been recognized to offer space and all the possible comfort and hospitality during the long stays of those who desire to visit their hotels or resorts.

These hotels have turned into small little vacational paradises at anytime of the year and in turn now for all those who wish to have a full day here. People who decide to not stay over night at anyone of these hotels can still have access to their hotels amenities, thanks to these new packages designed to accommodate and concentrate on these full day passes.

The title "All Inclusive"has been turned into not only a strategy that the hotels often use but they also know that it is an ideal location to have fullday pass.

The Hotel Hesperia of Playa el Agua offers a daypass that begins at 11:00 a.m. til 6:00 p.m.,set a price of 70,000 bs ($32.55 US) per adult and half the price for children under 12. Access to the pools, tennis courts and recreational activities.

Breezes and more heat:

Almost on the complete opposite side of the Island, more tranquility and waters of Playa El Yaque in the municipio García, for those that love the water sports more we offer windsurfing and kitesurfing.

The same as Playa El Agua offers we offer hotels services for fullday passes. Which allows you to experience the beach with access to pools or use of beach umbrellas for shade and other services such as in the case of Hotel California in which when there is low hotel attendance for only 5,000 bs.

Thanks to http://www.margaritaislandbeaches.info for this pic:

If you desire more tranquility then a trip to la Isla de Coche offers its trip island if you decide to visit it.

The Hotel Coche Paradise offers, by reservation only, complete one day programs for 58,000 bs ($26.97 US) per adult or 45,000 bs ($20.93 US) for kids from 4 -12 years old.

Basically this is just a small sample and list of the hotels that are offering these programs. These Hotels in Margarita and Coche are waiting for you !
